Srinagar, Feb 07 (KNO): Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the suicide bombing that took place during Friday prayers at an Imambargah in Islamabad, Pakistan, terming it a deeply painful and distressing act that claimed over thirty lives Sharing details on social media platform X, (formerly Twitter), the chief religious cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, as per the news agency±Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the heinous suicide bombing attack during Friday prayers at an Imambargah in Islamabad, which claimed more than thirty lives, was deeply painful and strongly condemnable. He said that such bloodshed at a place of worship is profoundly distressing and a moment of deep pain and reflection for the entire Ummah. “The heinous suicide bombing attack that took place during Friday prayers at an Imambargah in Islamabad, Pakistan, killing more than thirty worshippers, is deeply painful and strongly condemnable. Bloodshed in such a manner, that too at a place of worship, is profoundly distressing and unsettling, a moment of deep pain and reflection for the Ummah,” the tweet reads. It further reads, “My heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with the families of the victims, for the swift recovery of the injured, and for peace, patience, and unity to prevail in such a distressing situation.”—(KNO)
